Troubleshooting
If something doesn't work as expected, this section helps you diagnose and resolve common issues. For real-time assistance, email support@notion2gcal.com.
Sync issues
Events not appearing in Google Calendar
- Ensure your Google and Notion connections are active in the Connections page.
- Verify that your Notion database, date property and Google Calendar are selected correctly in the automation.
- Check that your task has a date within the plan’s time horizon (e.g. within 1 month on the free plan).
- Confirm that you don't exceed the tasks-per-sync limit.
- If using filters, double-check that they include the tasks you expect.
- Look for error messages in the Log page; re-authorise Google or Notion if prompted.
Events not updating or deleting
- Make sure two-way sync is enabled if you expect changes in Google Calendar to reflect back to Notion.
- Deletions only propagate to Notion if the Delete Notion task when the Google event is deleted option is enabled in advanced options.
- If you modified the task in Notion, the next sync will update the event; it may take up to 5 minutes on Premium.
Duplicate or missing events
- Avoid creating multiple automations pointing to the same database and calendar without filters; this can create duplicates.
Authorization issues
Unable to connect Google Calendar
- Use the same Google account you signed in with. If you manage multiple Google accounts, sign out of others or use an incognito window.
- Ensure you grant all requested permissions. Without edit permissions, Notion2Gcal cannot create events.
- If the OAuth screen shows an error, remove Notion2Gcal from Security → Third-party apps in your Google account and try connecting again.
Unable to connect Notion
- Choose the correct Notion workspace when authorising.
- Ensure the app has Read and write permissions.
- If your database was not listed, refresh the page after granting access. Only databases with a date property appear.
Subscription & billing issues
Premium features not activated
- Verify that your payment succeeded. In some cases it may take a few minutes to confirm.
- Refresh the Account page; the plan badge should update.
- If the issue persists, contact support with your email and payment reference.
Payment failed
- Check that your card details are correct and have sufficient funds.
- Try another payment method if available.
Unsaved changes warning
If you attempt to leave the automation editor with unsaved changes, the app displays a prompt. Choose Leave without saving to abandon changes or Stay to return. Saving is required for changes to take effect.
Account deletion
In the Danger Zone on the Account page, you can permanently delete your account and all associated events. This action cannot be undone. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately.
